It is not Fast food that causes obesity it is an overall unhealthy lifestyle. Lack of exercise and overeating (especially the wrong foods) is what causes obesity. Fast food may be very high in fat and sodium, but so are lots of other foods not served at fast food restaurants. You could close every fast food restaurant in the world tomorrow and there will still be obese people. Besides overeating and LACK OF EXERCISE, heredity also has a lot to do with weight, so blaming fast food for the obesity problem in this country simply doesn't make sense.

you can mention how it has a lot to do with child obesity these days.. and some facts you can work with on that topic are:
- In a recent study in the United States, it was found that children absorb more calories and less nutrition on those days that they consume fast food.
- In the study, the dietary intake from over 6,000 children and young adults between the ages of four and nineteen was analyzed. The ones who ate fast food absorbed more calories total, as well as more calories per gram, more carbohydrates, more saturated and total fat, more sugar, and less fiber, fruit, milk, and non-starchy vegetables.
- It was also shown in the study how the children who ate fast food on one day only showed nutrient downfalls on that day. But on the other, non fast food day, they did not show these downfalls.
another topic you can work with is Downfalls of eating Fast Food:
- Fast food is typically high in calories. If you've ever used the Calorie-Count search function, you may have been surprised to see that you're favorite meal from a fast food joint is so high in calories. We often don't realize just how many calories are in that small hamburger we ordered, not to mention the fries and drink! Thus, children that consume fast food typically consume a larger number of calories than their peers that eat less fast food.
- Fast food also tends to be higher in fat content, carbohydrates, and sugar.
- Don't forget those carbonated beverages your kids love! They're also high in calories and sugar with no real nutritional value.
- When children fill up on fast food, they tend to avoid eating fruits and vegetables, and other healthier alternatives. In doing so, they end up getting less essential nutrients in their diets, including fiber.
thats all i can really help with.. i know thats only about kids eating fast food but thats all i know of cuz i did a study about it once.
good luck and i hope some of this helps =)

One may consider in the following lines
Introduction --Fast foods are supplementing the needs of nuclear families where both husband and wife go for outside work.Wife will have less time to spend in the kitchen because of work pressure resort to fast food /ready food either prepared quickly /deliverd by a motel/hotel/restaurant.in reducing the efforts to cook fast foods are acting as good options.
What is the compositionof the fast food
It normally contains chemical preservatives safe colouring agents, oil, emusified fats & minerals ,vegetables/meat already once cooked. They are boiled once befor package for second boiling or it may be packed in vaccumed containers with readily prepared to be kept for many days in cool & dry place.
Cases registerd due to food poisoning by taking fast food--One need to show the cases.
