I am having guilt feelings because I am not used to having money, but I really want to go. This will be my first REAL vacation. I guess I am torn cause I have plenty of money but still feel guilty.

Did you come by the money honestly? Did you rob a bank or something? No? Then it's yours, to spend as you see fit.

One trip to Hawaii, even though it is an expensive destination, is not extravangant unless you go crazy.

I'm retired, but still young enough to catch up on a lot of things I wish I had done when I was a lot younger.

Most people my age regret what they didn't do a lot more than what they did.

Enjoy "The Land Below the Seven Little Eyes". The "seven little eyes" was the Big Dipper, and the ancient Hawaiians called their home "the land below the seven little eyes" because it was the only land they knew existed in the Northern Hemisphere.

Aloha, and have a mai-tai at the luau for me!

Go for it, if you are able to afford it, then enjoy it! Are there any other complications? For example can you get the time off work, do you have kids to take care of, etc? If everything works, then definitely go, there is nothing worse than the feeling of regret. You said that you had more than enough to go, so that would mean even if you went you would still have a bit in your savings. Have some fun! ^_^

It is your money spend it on yourself.
You know your goals and if you can achieve them all great if not then you need to choose.
Is a wonderful vacation better than other uses of your money? Would you rather have it to raise children, buy a house, go to college or someday retire or own a business?
Your money, your choice but no guilt required, just vow not to come back complaining you wanted a car or furniture but spent all your money.

Enjoy life as much as possible but it's sure nice to see that money in the bank. Good luck.
