Birth control pills? You can get them free at your local health department. Doctors suggest that for the first month you begin taking the pill to always use a back up birth control, such as a condom....or at least they did when I was 16. Take them every day at around the same time (brusing your teeth is a good time because it's something you always do and can easily remember) and keep taking it for as long as you continue to have sex. Still take it if you go a week without, but plan to begin again. Don't stop taking them unless you seriously plan to stop having sex altogether.

Or are you talking about the morning after pill? You can also get that at your health department. You can take it up to three days (I think) after having unprotected sex.

You should take it before and while being sexually active. When you start the pill though, you need to use a backup method a couple of weeks at least. You get them at your doctor or at a health clinic but if you don't know that then you're probably too young to be sexually active!

There are now lots of varieties of oral contraceptives, and for many prescriptions, the pill is taken daily. If you are sexually active, I highly recommend that you find your local Planned Parenthood and make an appointment to discuss your options for birth control as well as protection against STDs.

Family doctor prescribed them.

My doctor said use condoms for two weeks while on the pill.

You should be wearing condoms anyway since pills don't protect against STDs or AID/HIV.

how old are you? you need to talk to your doctor to get a prescription for them. you take it DAILY, at the same time, and you DON'T skip it.

I'm thinking condoms is a better route for you, provided that you are mature and old enough for sex.
