You will need to check with each college, they will focus on slightly different kinds of research at each one. You should essentially need some physics, the usual general education classes, and then, of course, the specific astronomy classes of your interest.
Colleges are all on line these days, so go to their websites (i.e. -ucdavis.edu, ucberkeley.edu, etc.) and go to the astronomy department. You can also meet with the transfer counselor for that college, or the academic counselor for the astronomy department.

look for Astronomy courses in the uni you want to attend. if ur in Australia then Swinburne uni in Melbourne is good or curtin uni in W.A. there r not many uni's that offer astronomy as a undergrad course. u can also do a degree in phys or maths and then do a astronomy major in ur postgraduate degree.
To be successful astronomer u need to be good in maths, physics, a little bit of computer programing and of course astronomy.

Go as high as you can in Math. Check some college requirements for a major in Astronomy to see what they look for in students.
