I do not care how other countries look at us. If we lead by example they will respect us.

As for a female President that is fine. As for Hillary; NO WAY!!!!

Great female leaders:

1) Golda Maer - Israel
2) Margaret Thacher - England
3) Benazir Bhutto - Pakistan
4) Hanna Suchocka - Poland
5) Angela Merkel - Germany

However, I would not trust Hillary Clinton to be our President; too much politica baggage from his former husband and lack of a solid stance on anything.

If Condi Rice decides to run, I could vote for her, not because she is a woman or a blakc woman for that fact, but because she has a more solid stance on the issues than Hillary does.

Why is it that everyone thinks that only a man can run a country? What does it matter what the gender of a candidate is? Are those apposed to women in office think that a woman can not do the job as good as a man? Thats just sexist!

Has anyone thought yet that there is a change needed? Since this country was stolen over 200 years ago it has been desecrated with war and blood. Was it a woman who caused the blood shed? Was it a woman who preferred slaves over freedom? Was it women who said a man is not good enough to vote? or be heard? No, this was all done by men! You wanna talk sexist well this country is still run by a man who in turn is killing this country and all of its citizens. It has been a man in every country who have started wars, killed innocent people and run communist and dictatorships.

Lets get real people, stop placing gender as a reason to degrade someone. Degrade them based on their stances, merit and all other things important, not their gender. Doing this is just as bad as being a racist and saying that a person who is dark skinned can not possibly run this country as well or better then a fair skinned person.

I don't like Bush, not because he is a man but because he is a murderer, liar and thief. I don't like Gulliani because he is using 911 as his standing ground to try and gain sympathetic votes. I am starting to not like Hillary because she can not make up her mind as to what she wants to do. It is not a gender thing it is a merit thing.

I don't like many politicians because all they know how to do is slander each other. How can anyone trust what any of them say when all they say is anything negative they can think of about the other?

Re: Kristen, you seem to forget I never said anything about that. I had no problem going after the ACTUAL perps, I am not for going after anyone we want to just to have a war.

I guess it would depend on the woman. Someone like Margaret Thatcher? I wouldn't be so thrilled.

And I doubt PMS would be an issue because Hillary is 60 years old. I'm sure she's gone through menopause by now.

I would feel just fine... and other countries have had female leaders and no problem. Besides , since when do we care what other countries think of our leader.. if we did , we never would have elected Bush.

Far as I'm concerned.. it is time a woman had a go at it.. she cannot do any worse than all the so called men!

I don't think it really makes a difference what gender is in the White House. Even though I liked Clinton allot better than Bush, his wife Hillary has no place in the White House with her track record. To me its not so much about gender, or age but, new ideas and experience are a plus. And why should we care now about how other countries view us? Bush has already screwed things up so much its gonna take some years to gain back the trust of many countries. No matter who the next president is, we need one that will stand up for real issues!!! For example: Illegal Immigration!!! Why is it that no one mentions that the real way to stop it is for both sides to work together? Our jobs go down to Mexico but,yet still dont pay enough to keep them down there. Their local government is practically non existant when it comes to having real police, instead of communities being controlled by mafias. Hmm, well lets pretend your a Mexican for a minute. The price of food is on the rise but, your pay is not. You fear for your families safety because of no real police. No time to learn a new language quick enough at the rate that things are declining. All you want is a better life for you and your family. We as a country can solve all of these problems if we only worked with the Mexican government to raise their wages & standards of living. There are allot of Mexicans here illegally that are hard working and deserving to become citizens but, how many of them do you think would be here if conditions was improved for them there? Abortion issue,NOT!!! Whether you are for or against? Who cares, its only an issue to sidestep other issues cause we will never be a country that is totally for or against!!! Family morals, its funny that either party never brings up the injustices made in our courts by the family law system but, yet wonder why so many young people are getting in trouble. The Environment issue, few has accepted the problem and is dealing with it ,while others are in denial but, many are taking payoffs from the very companies that pollute, lining their pockets on their way to the grave!!! Taxes being cut but, more is being spent but, when we have to recover the President that raises taxes will get all the crap for doing so. Higher paying jobs are moving out, and Walmart is selling America out!!! Buy at Walmart, they are one of the richest companies in the world. What once was an American made product is now made in China. Keep prices and wages low to make them more rich. America the new Mexico!!! Who is sticking up for us there? We have way too many issues to worry about for ourselves rather than to worry about what other countries would think of us for what gender is in charge. Women as a hole has proven to do well in many jobs but, if one can get in one day that can truly make some changes that matter, they would have my vote. Any other country that doesn't want an equal oppritunity for women to be in office should worry about what we think of them.

I would feel no different if America had a female President than if America had a male President. It just makes no damn difference whatsoever to me.

Now if Hillary were President, I'd be mad quite often, but that's because of her politics and her duplicitous nature, not because of whether it says M or F on her damn driver's license.

As long as she can cut it I'm fine with it.
Contrary to the misinformation that some folks are pushing really hard most of the nations of the world have had some experience with women in office.
the two most prominent are Thacher and Meir and those were a couple of tough old broads.
As matter of fact after the Munich massacre and the UN and Interpol proved useless at bringing the murderers to justice Meir told her chief at Mosad to go kill those responsible and they did.

Having a female President does not bother me, but having Hillary as our President does!!!!!!!!!!! But then again I believe that there should be term limits on everyone in public office. As far as what other countries think, we shouldn't give a rats @ss. It's the Office of The President. The person that holds that office be it male or female, deserves their respect. If they don't like it, thats their problem. ''We The People'' are starting to care too much about what other countries think about us and not enough about taking care of our own people.

Most first world countries have been electing women as heads of state for years.

It's just not "an issue" in most countries, and it's embarrassing to see so much press about it here.
