It depends on the guy and the girl. If the girl is mature for her age or has some responsibility that most 14 year olds don't have then it can be ok. If she is immature, irresponsible or acts childish then she is not ready for a relationship with any boy let alone one older than her.

It's fine. I'd be a hypocrite if I said it wasn't lol. My guy is 4 almost 5 years older then me, then again I'm18 though. I know you said you don't intend on having sex But remember if ANY messing around happens you could end up as a sex offender. when the guy leaves for college or gets a job after high school the girl won't even be old enough to drive a car bad idea even if sex isn't part of it

Kinda tricky..but I would say it's ok. I am 16 and my boyfriend will be 19 for a while before I even turn 17.

The responsibility lies with you - the older person. I don't think it is OK for you to date this young girl. Also, to say you don't intend to have sex is a copout. Everyone knows young teen boys are always wanting to have sex. Imagine you are a father and your daughter starts dating a 17yr old horny teen. I can't imagine you would be ok with this!

And to address your "no intentions of sex" comment. That is crap. I was 17 once and I had no other intentions besides eating and sleeping. Unless he is headed for the preisthood and has already taken a vow of celebacy, the answer is no.

I think its fine..Thats really close to what me and my fiances ages were...Mine 10/12/1988..his 10/11/85.....weve been together for almost 4 1/2 yrs now..

pretty much depends on guy and girl and maturity... may 17 year old guys are shy and clueless so fine... if he is a fk em no condom then dump them... no
