Dublin and Modesto are in two different counties (Alameda & San Joaquin), so my first thought was that this could be very difficult, then I found MAX (Modesto Area Express) which runs from the Dublin / Pleasanton BART Station to Modesto: http://www.modestoareaexpress.com/system_information.htm
MAX provides direct service between Modesto and the Altamont Commuter Express (ACE) train station in Lathrop, and between Modesto and the Pleasanton/Dublin BART station. For additional information please call 209-521-1274.
You could also go from the Dublin/Pleasanton BART Station and then take the ACE Train direct to Modesto

Hi,
I think your best bet is try and find a bus from Livermore to Modesto. Livermore is the last train stop on 580 and the closest to Modesto.

You should just take Amtrak. Way easier
