how long did you wait until you had sex again? Did your incision area hurt at all? When did it stop hurting? Is it true that you could get pregnant very easily when you are in the six postpartum weeks? More easily than later on down the line? Why/how is this true?

As a general rule, whether you delivery by c-section or vaginally, you need to wait six weeks until you have sex. That is to give your uterus time to heal so you don't get an infection from germs that can be introduced during sex. A c-section is like any other surgery, the incision hurts, but how bad and how long is a function of each individual's pain tolerance. Moving around as soon as you get the go ahead helps to reduce the pain. You can get pregnant within the six postpartum weeks, but probably not very easily. It takes a little while for your hormones to get back to normal and ovulation to resume normally.

We waited just a few days shy of my 6 week check up. No, my incision area did not hurt. It stopped hurting a week or 2 after my C-section unless I press on it. Yes, I do believe you are highly fertile during the first couple months after your baby was born.

I waited the full 6 weeks, because I honestly didnt feel like having sex....yes the incision hurt, when I got up to walk it felt as if my organs were gonna fall out. I didnt really take me pain meds though because I was breast feeding and didnt want to risk it. It stopped hurting probably after a month or so, but was still sensative for long after. Its true that you can get pregnant easier right after having a baby period...c-section or natural. As far as post partum..I guess I just really wanted out of the house...didnt really get sad...just anxious...alot.

I probably waited 3 - 4 months before I had sex again ... My incision was hurting me for a year before I can really touch it without freaking out ... I can't remember too much cuz its been 12 1/2 years ago ...

Nowdays it still hurts when I have my peroid cuz it stretches ... OUCH!

I only had one child so I don't know about getting pregnant so fast ...

I waited 6 weeks because the doctor said to. The pain was mostly gone by then. At that time I was having more pain from my left shoulder from always holding the baby on that side!

Your chances of pregnancy right after a C is the same as for normal delivery.

I waited about a month. Incision hurt like hell. It continued to hurt on an off, especially when I had my period for 6 years!! You can get prego easily because your cervix is not fully closed or something like that.

Well, since my son was born by emergency c-section almost 3 months early and I was down at Children's Hospital with him for almost the entire 2 1/2 months he was there it was closer to 4 months for us.
