Sadly, Adolf Hitler would have to be near the top of the list of names just about everyone remembers.

In the future people will forget about JFK for being a president who just got killed. Nothing major, other than the Cuban missile crisis happened in his presidency.
I'd say hitler, Roosevelt, Stalin, Churchill, Mandela, Mussolini, George VI, Elizabeth II, Queen Victoria, Lenin, Chairman Mao, Reagan, Charles de Gualle could all claim to be near the tops of the list.
