y = x² - 4x + 2
y = (x² - 4x + 4) - 4 + 2
y = (x - 2)² - 2
vertex is at (2 , - 2)
cuts y axis at (0,2)
cuts x axis at (x - 2)² = 2
x - 2 = ± √2
x = 2 ± √2

The values of x are: .5858 and 3.4142
The y-intercept is 2
The vertex is (2,-2)
To solve this I used the Quadratic Formula.
