I really have tried to get the stain out and I can't get it out! It's a red dress with a white apron atatched to the front and the stain is on the white part! I have tried some stain remover and dish soap and regular laundry soap and it's in for it's 5th wash this week right now! I know NOT to dry it so I haven't done that I've just been washing it and the stain will not even fade! Please some one help my 21st birthday/costume party is this weekend and I really don't think I have enough time to order another costume from online!

You didn't say if it was the orange color or the grease. I'm going to think orange because red food coloring is tough to remove. There are special cleaners just for it. Two thoughts if it is the dye:

Rit dye has a color remover along side their fabric color dyes. Obviously you'd have to keep it off the red part of the dress, but sounds like you are doing that already now with the bleach. Rit dye at Walgreens, hardware stores, WalMart, etc.

Second is Motsenbocker's Lift Off #1. They have four or five different formulas, but #1 is for dyes. Available at hardware stores like Ace

If you are still game for more home remedies that may or may not work are a few drops of ammonia in water (problem is that could seal in the stain too), vinegar and water and then just plain rubbing alcohol dabbed on and blotted.

If after all that nothing happens, buy a white apron and use some sew adhesive to dress it up with lace and tie it over the messed up apron. Or find a big applique to put over the spot...or lace?? Hmm, the lace sounds like a fair idea more I think about it.

Sorry - icing has oil in it and polyester is made from oil so it has permanently bonded with it. Sew something over it or - trash it!
