It's my understanding that "sensual" is the broader term, that it's more about "appealing to the *senses*". Lots of non-sexual things *can* be sensual: the way the cloth of a sweater feels, the way chocolate tastes, the way a waterfall sounds. The idea is that something is "easy on the eyes" or pleasant, pleasing to the senses. Anyone *can* be sensual this way so long as their senses--and the brain they're attached to--work properly.
If you've ever stayed up to watch the sun rise, that was sensual. That was about wanting to see something just because the colors were pleasant to your eyes.
Sexual, on the other hand, is the narrower term, since it literally means "things of or related to sex acts", things such as foreplay, intercourse, penetration and climax (trying to use the polite, non-vulgar terms for it all here). These things *can* also be sensual (appealing to one or more senses) but don't have to be, because the description is more about what someone *does* rather than what someone *experiences* on a sensory level.
And yeah, that simplifies it a bit, especially for us hornball adults. It is ambiguous. ^_^ Our senses *are* a part of our bodies too, and so appealing to them *can* arouse us. And there's no question that sex, done right (even in a mediocre fashion) feels good.
But basically, you don't *have to* do anything to have a sensual experience happen to you, all you have to do is be alive and somewhat aware. A sexual experience is more implicitly *verbal* in that it's more about doing something, preferably between consenting adults of course.
Hope this helps. ^_^ Thanks for your time. Have a star!

I would definitely take sensual as a bigger compliment. A sexual woman only has that to offer, and most likely she is trying really hard to be sexy lol. A SENSUAL woman is sexually attractive without trying... The sensual girl will be taken more seriously as a human being both by guys and by women, and a sexual looking woman will not be taken seriously at all, and will be used and passed to whoever wants her next.

Sensual is more of feeling where is sexual is an implication of sex. For example, a dress can be sensual, it looks very feminine but doesn't show it all. A miniskirt up to your crotch however can have sexual implications.

Sexual leans on the physical end of things. Sensual is far more subtle & can involve only words or a look, etc...
