They probably sell it to the pharmaceutical companies for medicinal purposes and say they grew it organically.

They save enough for evidence in court and burn the rest.
When they say it is worth 182 million dollars that is always an exaggeration, equivalent to saying that a bunch of ordinary mushrooms are really truffles worth hundreds of dollars an ounce. It look good in the newspapers but has no connection to reality.

No one can be this naive, of course they burn it. A very small portion is burned on the spot. To make it look good for the public. A generous portion is sent to smokin' gov. officials. A good deal of it is released to dealers in poverty-stricken areas, for a price. Some of it is sent directly to campaign headquarters for the big victory bash. Some of it is sent to the Bush compound in Crawford. They are saving the biggest stash to be sent to the White House, because whoever wins the presidential election in 2008, is going to need something potent when they have to deal with the horrible mess that Bush left behind.

Most of it is destroyed. A small amount is used for training purposes.
The handling of this sort of thing is watched through a microscope. Everything has to be witnesses, get audited etc.
If any of it comes up missing heads roll and people go to jail.

Nope, they don't.
Most is burned.
The rest is used for training in it's "unburned" state for training alert dogs.
This stuff is accounted fof by the ounce.
Not much chance of "error".
