I've got science homework due tomorrow: I need help to get that question answered. I'd also like to know just how one can find out how many chloroplasts are in an Elodea leaf to begin with. I will be using a Compound Light Microscope to view samples.

Around 100. I counted over 75 in one cell in a picture in the textbook "Biology of Plants". I suppose you can count them under a light microscope.
