The PPV is correct, the wrestler he was referring to is correct, but the person conducting the interview is not, he was a former professional wrestler, and probably one of the most exciting during his time. legendary fueds, and held many many titles. That hint should be enough to do it.

Yep it was the King of the Ring 1996 where Stone Cold beat Jake Roberts to win it.He used the Austin 3:16 as a send-up to Roberts.Talk about your Psalms talk about your John 3:16.Austin 3:16 says i just whooped your @$$.
The interviewer was Michael PS Hayes.One half of the legendary Fabulous Freebirds along with Jimmy Jam Garvin.Hayes is still with the WWE as part of the storyliner creative team.

He was referring to Jake "The Snake" Roberts, who was reciting John 3:16 during his promos, basically mocking him.

I don't remember who interviewed him, was it Jim Ross or Jim Cornette?
