how does an ex convict resore his right to vote?

I believe i read something about how an ex convict can have certain rights restored if you know of any other rights or provisions that would be helpful also. thank you.

The laws vary by state. In Ohio (and I'm sure in others), exconvicts can vote...but not while they're con's serving their time.

Expungement, maybe? This is a legal proceeding. Lawyers could better answer.
