I am not sure what you are asking. In my experience, the two concepts are essentially the same.

The date of delivery may apply to when the court office prepared the papers. The date of service could mean, when the papers were served on the person.

Date if delivery is when the courts delivered the paperwork to the sheriffs dept. Date of service is when the summons was served to the defendant.
