I think many here will willfully miss your point for ideological reasons.

Rape is really about violence but you have analogized it out of context. Rape involves forcing a woman to have sex that is normally against her will. A mother who is controlling is a normal mother-daughter or mother-son issue that can be resolved and can never be considered as a crime. Rape is and will always be crime but control in the above context is not.

Maybe because she loves her mother, which is pretty natural. Did you ever stop and think, that the girl you love is a result of her mother's upbringing? She just might be a lot like her mother to begin with. So, don't jump to any conclusions about the things you have very little knowledge of.

There is such a thing as physcological rape. It consists in ravishing the persons every motions. And often with sexual "undertones". However jokes about rape are kind of stupid, since it is a real crime.

I see., let me begin by saying that first of all rape comes in two forms; physical rape pertaining to sexual gratification. The other being psychological rape, such as what your g/f is going through now; each causing a great deal of pain that should not/never be compared.

because even though rape may be about control when it comes to the rapist's motive, the thing that makes rape rape is the forced sexual activity. Duh! Obviously your question is meant as a joke, but I just felt like answering it anyways because why not?

Rape is about control AND sex. If it were only about control, predators would hunt women to control them without any sexual activity.

because rape is defined as using sexual acts as a means of control and "power-over" somone.

if her mother is touching her in a sexual manner, or using her position of authority to sexually assault your girlfriend, then it is rape.

grow up please.

Rape is not about control - it is about sexual activity or harrasement forced upon another human being, to which the victim did not consent to.

Your g/f's mother's actions, I am guessing do not fit this criteria!

That's nice - but faulty logic.
