I have black hair, dark-brown eyes, and light brown skin (medium contrast between hair and skin). What colors/ color combos for my clothes will compliment me? Which ones should I avoid?

You would look great in warm colors, and gold jewelry, You would look nice in yellow, orange, red, brown, black and white, you are a warm person. This is alway good to know, I was confused about this for a long time, but I am a cool person., I am fair with blond hair, and I look better in cool colors, and silver jewelry...Good Luck

This is so much easier with a picture.
Based on description, you are either a winter [ cool color ] or an autumn [ warm color ].
Try the following, in natural sunlight, with no makeup and bare shoulders.
1] do you look better in black, or espresso brown?
2] better in bright blue, or bright orange?
3] better in silver or gold jewelry?
If you pick all the first answer, you are a COOL [ winter ]
If you pick all the second, you are a WARM [ autumn ].
COOL colors: all have a blue undertone
white, pinks, light beige, cherry red, coral, lemon, mint, jade,
hunter and forest green; sky, royal, smoke, navy blue, lavender, plum, gray, black, and silver jewelry.
Avoid: orange, gold, tan, and golden browns
WARM colors: all have a golden undertone
ivory, tomato red, rust, peach, orange, terra cotta, golden yellow, lime, kelly, moss, olive green, aqua, turquoise, teal blue, purple, caramel, espresso brown, and gold jewelry.
Avoid: pinks, burgundy, cool blues, gray, and black.

Black, of course, is a basic colour for everyone. For you, I would also suggest earthy colours, like browns and greens, and bold colors, like Red, blue and purple. Try yo stay away from anything to light of pastel or pale. White is ok only in moderation. Greys, silver and gold will also suit you really well.

To complement your tan skin, olive, salmon, purple (light OR dark), light yellows, and medium blues will always work! Don't do too many browns though, because then your dark hair, dark eyes, and tan skin will make it too much browns in your look.

I have similar coloring and I tend to wear a lot of black. I also like any shade of blue and some shades of green. Red seems to overwhelm me but looks great on my mom who has a little darker skin than me.

Choose bright colors of clothing. Look for vivid primary colors including blue reds, royal blues, emerald greens and lemon yellows. You'll look dynamite in black and white.

Pastel colors will do. Like sky blue blouse and dark blue pants or sky bly dress with dark blue colllar to give accent to your complexion and give good mood and aura to your everyday life. Always wear light colored attire.
Have a nice day :)
