We recently moved to an area where we can't burn leaves, and my wife & I both miss that smell. Would like to find a candle that smells like it to take us back. Anyone know of where we could buy a candle with that smell?

There used to be a yankee smell that was inspired by a campfire. I'm not sure if that is close enough.

It's called "fireside" and as I recall it was sweet and smoky. The yankee store says it's backordered but you may be able to get on the list. By the way, it is "back by popular demand" so your request isn't all that weird. I remember I liked it too.

You might also get close by picking up some sandalwood oil or a candle from target. Sandalwood and cedar would be a great blend...oils from a health food store, and dilute them in water and heat it on a tart burner.

No, but I know what you mean. Maybe you could patent one? One of the reasons I moved out to the country is for that smell from my childhood of a bonfire in the fall. My new neighbors provide this for me all the time, and I love it.

How close are you to a Country Clutter? They sell a lot of candles like that and they may have something close to it

perhaps you can go to your nearest craft store, and they might have an oil you can use.
