Read this short paragraph and answer the below question:
Dust devils whirled sand off the mountains. Even after the heaviest of rains, the water seeped back into the ground, between stones, and the earth was parched again.

The two images associated with rain in the second sentence(there are only two sentences written here) are: heavy rains, and water seeping into cracks in the ground or between stones.

I wonder.... Do you think the second sentence could be re-worded:

"Even after the heaviest of rains, the water seeped back into the ground, *AND water seeped back* between stones..."?

So the two images would be water seeping into the ground, and water seeping between the stones? Or is that pushing it?
