Erudite: Even groups who monitor human rights abuses in North Korea were stunned by Mr Shin’s account: “We didn’t believe it,” said Kim Sang Hun, head of Seoul’s Database Centre for North Korean Human Rights, who debriefed and now cares for Mr Shin. “It took many months before we were convinced he was what he said was.” Asked what message he would like to send Kim Jong Il, Mr Shin quietly said: “I’d ask him to try living in the camp for just one hour.”

Waterboarding is the harshest tactic the U.S. is publicly admitting to doing.

When they want 'real' torture techniques they ship enemy combatants off to countries like Egypt where they torture full out.

That's not an America I want to be a part of!!!

While what has happened to this man you have highlighted is terrible it doesn't lessen the severity of the U.S. condoning and participating openly in any form of torture against human beings. Just because it is 'not as bad' doesn't make it right!!

Far as i can see, we don't torture and the things libs call torture isn't compared to the real thing. And if the previous poster is talking about leaving the Country, do so.

So you figure that if anyone tortures worse than us....we ain't really torturing well enough? I guess if you lower your values enough than you can always appear great by picking the worst to compare yourself to, sorry I don't accept that method.....and I'm sorry you do.
You make your determination by what measure? not the Geneva conventions, but the republican conventions? or did Rush tell you that?
