investors know the market will advance tomorrow, and still they chose to stay out, knowing that in a few short days the market will continue to slump......things are going to be ugly for some time.....agree?

Since the market was up 100+ points today, doesn't that mean that the economy & stock market are going to be excellent for quite some time??
It's not unusual for the market to fall on good news, and rise when there is nothing but bad news. Frequently the market will move one way or the other, on no news at all. One day movements in the stock market mean nothing, other than the stock market is volatile.

Or we could see profit taking in the market or you could have a million other reasons for the greater volatility, such as a 12 year record in housing sales decline... I would disagree with your take that its a horrible/ugly time to be in the market...

The market is unpredictable. John Adams said that it is run by an invisible hand.
There are many other influences on the market besides the Fed's influence. If you are convinced that the market will decline in the future go short and cash in. Or buy equities while they are cheap.

the feds aint lowering the prime rate ....the market wont advance tomarrow....expect a 75 point drop...
yes things will be ugly for @ 2 years...but its the sub prime loan debacle that is causing the problem....
lots of big lending institutions going to have a bad year or 2 for earnings...thats whats bugging the market....and it was at an all time high this month.....only one direction it can go....south
