Is it safe to buy baby formula from places like Amazon.com and Diapers.com??

Also, What about Ebay from discount places that sell medical supplies and formula and have perfect feedback in abundance. I am wanting to purchase the 2oz similac ready to feed. I found some on ebay that are still in sealed box purchased from Ross, the makers of similac.

They do not sell the 2oz ones at the places some of you talked about. I can understand no on ebay, but not amazon or diapers.com??? Can you tell me why?

I disagree with some of the posters, I have purchased formula from diapers.com and from ebay and had no problems, on ebay just check their feedback and see if other people bought the formula and check the safety seals when it arrives. I have saved tons of money by purchasing formula on the websites you listed.

I mean people can tamper formula anywhere, walmart, etc... Just check the seals.

I wondered this myself because the formula I need for my daughter is super expensive. When I do find a buyer that sells the formula I need, I usually ask questions like where is it/has been stored? How long has it been there? Why are they selling it? What are the expiriation dates? Is there some type of guarantee? Once I get the answers then I make my decision if I should buy it or not. Some sellers have told me that they bought in bulk and ended up changing formula so that's why they are selling it at a cheap price...Some people only buy their formula online like amazon and ebay and some are against it. Just do your homework by asking questions. Good luck!

Amazon Baby Formula

As long as it is sealed and the package looks fine, I wouldn't worry about it. Check the feedback on ebay and be mindful as you would with any online purchase.

I sold formula on ebay that I couldn't or wouldn't use,and many other new moms do too. Hospitals send you home with it and formula companies send cans out to new moms. Sometimes moms buy a bunch somewhere and have more than they need, or it turns out their baby doesn't tolerate that kind of formula.

Edited to add: The hospital send us home with some 2-ounce ready to feeds, but the baby won't take such small portions for long. That may be why you're not finding that size readily.

I suggest this service: http://phonedetectives.co - The best reverse cell phone lookup service.

It's a cheap service that works great! It could be used for a much deeper search. You can use it to get hold of different varieties of background reports, and in addition cell numbers, addresses and names.. you can get unlimited reports... I ran with this because I required to verify more numbers.

You can get the name, other phone number, address history, relatives, and much more about anyone! The completly free reverse phone lookup generally doesn't provide anything interesting. To get interesting information, money will must be paid. The free searches don't provide considerably more than what may be found through the phone directory or personal information and they simply require your email to send spam. The reverse phone detective search tool does work, but you should use just the service that I posted above. The last thing you want to do, is pay for a service and find the numbers you want to lookup are not available in their directory.

The service that I reccomend doesn't have any kind of problem , you won't get any bad surprise! Trust it!

Reverse Phone Lookup area gives you additional access to millions of public records, including:

+ Find out the source of a harassing ("prank") caller
+ Research a number that appeared on your phone bill
+ Locate an old friend from high school or college
+ Research "missed calls" on your caller ID that you don't recognize
+ Verify an address
+ And more...

I would go for diapers.com over eBay for formula. Although I use eBay all the time (and sell there too), I just would not feel comfortable buying formula from an anonymous person. A company? Yes, of course. Some guy selling out of his home? No.
Actually, if you go to the Similac website, you can order the 2oz bottles through them. If you click on "product info" then on "order online" (on the right hand side, bottom) it brings you to the Ross website where you can order them. It looks like Diapers.com has it cheaper though. Also, if you sign up at Diapers.com they always send you $5.00 off promo codes.

Amazon.com and Diapers.com are retail stores, just like Walmart, Albertsons, or any other physical store that sells baby formula. They'll get their stock from the exact same place that supplies to a physical store that you would walk into to buy formula.

Ebay is private sellers, in this case resellers. I have sold baby formula on ebay before. I would buy it from places like Walmart when it went on clearance (yes, they do sometimes put formula on clearance) and sell it on ebay for a profit. Many other ebay resellers get it through WIC and sell it on ebay (this would technically constitute welfare fraud, but that's where a lot of it comes from). Do what you are comfortable with, most if not all is perfectly safe. Research the seller's feedback to see if they are honest in representing the items they sell on ebay, and if it comes to you and is not factory sealed don't use it.

Diapers.com, and Amazon are safe. I would be wary about EBay just because there is no way to guarantee the product hasn't been altered or tampered with prior to purchase. If you're able to find what you're looking for from websites like Amazon or Diapers.com then buy them. You may want to think about purchasing 4oz ready to feed bottles instead of two, because they're easier to find and soon your baby will be wanting more than 2oz at a time anyway...and if they don't drink all of it you can stick it in your fridge until the next feeding.

No, the reason being that many of these formulas can be tampered. It may cost a bit more and a trip to the store but at least you know what product you are buying and from where in case you have any problems you know who to point the finger at.

NO!!!!!!!!!! There is no telling what may be in the formula that you may buy. There are some very dishonest people that will do some things that may hurt your child if you buy and use baby formula or anything else online. You have no sure idea what it went through and whose hands it has been in.
