I know this will sound strange, but the smell for me is tangerines, my Mother would always have a large bowl of tangerines on the table during the holidays, but the other smells, like cookies and baking turkeys, we had all the time, but tangerines for some reason, was only on Christmas! Gee the holidays are going to be here soon, I can't wait to buy some tangerines, my Mom has been gone for 25 years, now I always have the bowl of tangerines on the table, did you ever notice that you do what you Mom did, it just comes natural....Love you Gem

The smell of snow in the crystal clear air,
the smell of the woods, of pine and for trees,
sea salt and sand baking in the sun,
and the very particular dusty smell of the first warm rainshower in the city on a hot summer afternoon, because that always meant that the holidays were coming soon!
Thanks for bringing it all back to me,
love
Anna

Definitely any evergreen bough, (cedar, pine, spruce). It reminds me of the years we used to go back in the woods and harvest our own Christmas tree.

There are some smells emanating from the bathroom that remind me of my Uncle George. He was a real stinker.
