If 3 M cadmium nitrate is a true solution, there is no precipitate formed unless it react with some chemical or you simply dry it out. If it react with some chemical, the precipitated chemical is not cadmium nitrate and I have no way to know what it is unless you inform me. Also, please give the Ksp value.
