I have been thinking about this and I am drawing a blank. Your problem is most movies deal with the higher level needs.

What your probably looking for a is a movie where a person starts out in a bare bones survival situation and after those needs are met begins looking for the higher level needs. Maybe one of the many movie versions done of "Robinson Crusoe"?

However, that is a whole movie, not a clip, if it's going to cover the wide range of the pyramid, maybe you need a series of clips (not necessarily from the same source)

Also, I am sure there are plenty of movie fans out there with the answer who don't have the slightest clue (or inclination to look up) what Maslow's hierarchy of needs is. I know the general outline, from basic survival needs (food, water, shelter) to the higher level emotional needs.

You might want to post more details about Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs or at least a link where it can be found. Do that and I'm sure the answers will start pouring in. Remember your crossing categories here. A lot of movie fans may not know what Maslow Hierarchy of Needs are and you could post in Psychology and they may not have a vast repertoire of stock footage stored in their head.

"The Pursuit of Happyness" has Will Smith go through the entire hierarchy of needs over the course of the story.
