Is it me or has the world gone insane?

Fire, Flood, Famine, Genocide, quakes, tsunamis, Global Warming?, War and rumors of war, riots, murder, suicide bombers,
Doesn't it seem like we are slowly going to hell in a hand basket with all of this going on all over the world?
We as humans had better get our act together or there won't be a legacy to hand to our great grand children.
We must keep in mind that there is only one race and that is "The Human Race!!" If we don't stop what is happening around the world and in our own country and stop it soon we will end up destroying this planet and us along with it.
If we end up depleting it's resources and/or blowing it to dust in his name do you think Whatever God you believe in would be happy or just really, really mad at us?

I agree the world has totally & compleatly gone nut on us. Global warming is a natural climatic phase our planet is going through, There is geological evidence this has happened before. Humanity is not the root cause. All we can do on this is adapt to the changes the best way we can. However we could be a lot more respectful of the environment. There are several war raging across the planet. We're over populated & running out of resources. Which will only get worse. The Islamic extreamists are fighting to hang on to an out dated religon. Tuning out the media will not make it all go away. It just makes a person ill informed. The wars, extreamism, enviromental destruction, & over population we can fix if we buckel down now & start working together.
While I do believe in something greater than myself, I don't thimk that God is causing it all. Because he gave us freedom of choice, & look what we are doing with it! The ones who saw it's God's will are the ones that won't take resposibility for their actions and/or decisions.

All of the issues you named are true, well, almost all of them. Global warming is a joke. BUT, I can tell you that you're gonna go nuts if all you do is focus on the scarey or "negative" things going on in this world, or "blow them out of proportion". You only know about these things because of the "news" media, and the ONLY things they present to the public is the negative and scarey and scandalous stuff. Why? Because it sells. It makes them easy money. So, if you want to keep your sanity, quit listening to the "news" media. They're a bad joke and not good for your mental or spiritual health. I learned that around 30 years ago, and I felt instantly better when I stopped my subscription to the newspaper. I still learn of "the news" because the media bombards us with if from more directions than a sane person can count, so just ease up. Take a deep breath. Quit watching all the "popular" "news" media and become more selective over what you listen to or read. The things you say are happening are happening, except that big joke called "Global Warming", but there are "gazillions" more good things happening than bad. For example, I continue to learn of friends of mine who belong to this thing called "Habitat for Humanity" where they go build houses for needy people. And there's a really fantastic Pro-Life organization in Virginia, I believe, called The American Life League (ALL), and it's wonderful in all it's life saving activities. Shut off the tv and put down the newspapers and magazines and become more discriminating in your reading. You'll feel a whole lot better, and may even begin contributing to all the positive/constructive things going on in the world. God Bless you.

have a star - Everything you just said has been on my mind for about a month solid. I am even considering starting talks with my children about it in the hopes that they won't ever have children because of these very things. I don't want to have grandbabies here when it gets like that because I think it's going to be very soon and i don't want them to suffer. I just don't know quite what to say to them, but it's weighing on my mind so hard lately.

I agree with what you are saying. We all need to keep an eye on what goes on in the Middle East. Don't ignore to what is happening in Israel. Be alert. All I know is that G-d is in control and we should all pray hard. Please pay close attention to what the Bush administration will do and say in November in Annapolis talks. It is very important with what they will be talking about and that's in regards to Israel and Palestinians. All eyes are in the Middle East.
