Most of the time I use a hair dryer because it's quicker than letting it naturally dry but every once in a while, I'll let it air dry.

I let my hair dry naturally because it looks better that way...If I use a hair dryer it comes out too straight.

I have naturally curly hair and the hair dryer tends to make it go POOOOOF! Big Hair is no longer in style so I let it air dry after I have spritzed it with a ton of goop.

The reason you're not supposed to wash hair everyday is b/c it strips hair of natural oils thus drying it out. No need to worry about that unless you are a guy who wants long lustrous hair. You won't go bald b/c of washing. However you might want to use a pomade instead of a gel. Gels dry and flake up. Pomade will give the spiking effect and slightly greasy but doesn't flake and is better for you hair. Just use about dime size amount rub your hands together and spike as you like but don't use to heavily or it will end up weighing hair down.

I let it dry naturally/air dry unless I have to go somewhere soon after I wash it. If that's the case, I blow dry it.
