Oh dear god yes.
I work on an ambulance and I think I ask myself that question at least once a week.
Every time I lose a child I fight over that question for weeks.

All the time...people say they want to change, but we never really do. It's easier to continue the same habits which its what we know.

I know why I do it.
But I don't.
I'm not a masochist, so then why do I cause myself such pain?
Because it's the right thing to do?
Because I have to?
Because no one else will do it.
It still hurts, though.
