The price of oil is high because the dollar isnt worth anything.
Take a hundred dollars to Europe and see how much it will buy.
Bush is out of touch. He cuts taxes, so the government has less income and then he pays for the war by borrowing from the Chinese. All of the manufacturing jobs are moving overseas, so everything is made in China. We then send them more money to pay for everything.
Sounds like a recipe for disaster
What ever happened to " Made in USA"?

Yes, I do. The excuse was that Saddam was supporting terrorists. He never did. In his time there was no Al-Qaeda in Iraq. This war is about the PNAC (Project for the New American Century) idea to be put into practice. Unfortunately 9/11 happened and it blew all the PNAC plans. Control of the Middle East oil was the goal of the Neo-conservatives. Bush and his cronies thought that the Iraqis would support and welcome the Americans once Saddam has been removed. Well, well....surprise.
The reason for the oil price to go up is because the place is a mess now. Turkey fighting the Kurds, Iran worried about an attack, the mire that is Iraq and so on.

We may never know the true reason we went to war, maybe we really did to fight terrorism, or maybe for oil, or maybe for something else...but personally, I think the high gas prices are from the companies...actually, I KNOW the gas companies raised the prices after studying economics and marketing in my business classes...that's just how the big corporations work, especially if there are only a couple controlling such a huge market - they can charge whatever they want...also, I read an article about how they raised gas prices because cars are getting better miles...which makes sense - in the 80s-90s when gas prices were about a buck, cars were getting less than 20 mpg...now, cars are getting up to 50, most cars get around 30...so I don't think we went to war for oil, considering the fact that we need to stop our dependence on fossil fuels and foreign energy

Yup. -Remember...-The guy we have in Office, is an "Oil Man..." & THEY follow the Supply... Oil Companies DON'T want Cheap oil (WHERE'S the Profit in THAT?), -they want a guaranteed Supply, & Iraq was supposed to BE just that (& it IS- to a certain extent...). You don't see Bush toppling the Leader of Sudan because he's killing people by the thousands in Darfur- do you??? Who CARES about THEM. -No Oil over there!... And THEN there's the matter of gas prices... When Bush took Office in 2001, the Average price of Gas was about $1.50 a gallon. By Xmas- it's supposed to hit $3.00 AGAIN... And I will BET YOU that by the time he LEAVES Office, in early 2009- it will be approaching $4.50 a Gallon..! Are YOU going to tell me- that the Man who believes that Businesses should "Voluntarilly Conserve on their Oil Usage"- has NO INTEREST in the Oil Fields of Iraq??? How many "Coincidences" would it TAKE- for you think that maybe Bush didn't just go into Iraq- to take out a two-bit Dictator- that a well-place missile couldn't have done the same ??? Wake UP, my friend... -It's OIL you're smelling, NOT Coffee... ... .

I honestly have no clue how much crack these people smoked before they decide to say the war is over oil, if its over oil then WHY THE HELL HAVE GAS PRICES RISEN SO MUCH and don't use that it's Bush's fault, because I'll tell you that you need to be President for a week and see how many tough choises you have to make. He's been in office for 7 years and look at him! He didn't have gray hair going in, but he's a gray haired man now. That is the toughest job in the world, while your in a nice house and sipping your coffee, he's wondering what to do in the next five minutes because if he doesn't make the right choice someone's gonna die! learn you have it REALLY EASY here in America, if you don't like the way it's being run, then get out! I'm not even American by birth but guess what I'm more patriotic then most of you! Love America because your not guarenteed tomorrow with freedom.

They will say yes , and when we pop a clutch on Iran they will say the same thing even though gas is expected to hit 8 to 10 dollars per gallon if we hit Iran by the end of 08 , if it is later it is expected to cost more ..Many idiots still think Bush controls oil prices too..

Yes, we are in Iraq for the oil. If we let the bad guys take over the country they could shut us off and we could all start riding bikes. The price of oil is set by the international demand and it is a hot commodity. China's use of oil is second only to the US.

Sorry yet this could be a nonsensical question. Venezuela are substantial providers of Oil to the u . s . a ., why do no longer Bush and his oil friends give up procuring oil from them by way of fact Chavez rightly stated Bush's frailities? See, it does not particularly paintings.
