Personally, I prefer the name Savannah. It just seems a bit more feminine to me. It's got a lot of nickname potential which is something I really value in a name.
Also the sounds in the name Alexandra, and very similar to Alexander, which is an extremely popular name at the moment. I always tend to go for the one that is more unusual.
Have you considered Savannah Alessia? Alessia being a deritative of Alexandra.

I would choose Savannah. You could give her the cute little nickname "Savvy". Alexandra is very popular and it is confusing to go by Alex when there are other guys named Alex in your class too. Savannah is a nice, cute, name that would suit your baby very nicely. Good luck and Congrats :]

Probably Savannah - a little more unusual than Alexandra. However, if Alexandra were Alexandria, Alexis, Alexia, or Alix, I would choose that instead lol.

I know people by both names, and sometimes a name can dictate/mold a perception.
The Savannah I know is gentle, well spoken, & going to an elite university.
The Alexandra I know has the blessing to be called Alex, which is really cute for a girl, but maybe on a downside she is WILD.
Names are important. Maybe you should wait till little baby looks you in the eyes, then you'll know.

Savannah is my first pick. But I also like Alexandra. But, like I said my first instinct was Savannah. I just imagine a very sweet little girl! Good luck!

I really don't like the name Alexandra. I have a little girl in my preschool class with that name, and all of the kids always get it mixed up and say "AlexandRIA" and she HATES it. She also has the HARDEST time writing it. I would go with Savannah - it's a gorgeous name.
