As much as he can get. I heard a comment from a radio reporter that A-Rod measures his self worth not in stats or in rings, but how much money he makes. Of course, A-Rod would love to hit 60 HR and win the World Series every year, but not at the cost of not being the most highly paid player in baseball.

A looong loong contract about 27-30 million dollars a year stretched over 5 years or more...he says he wants his next destination to be the last stop and wants to retire with that team.

He does not need to make another dollar, he can live very well for the rest of his life, just on the multi-millions he's already made. Unfortunately, the greedy get greedier, and want it all.
