After attempting to steal the spotlight from a team (Boston) that played together as such in another classic world series, Alex Rodriguez decided he is worth much more than the team he played for, and opted to seek more money than a human being possibly needs to make sure he can escape from reality-that being that he is a selfish, arrogant waste of talent who will never wear a champion's ring. I have heard he will make $146,000 a day when the unfortunate team that does sign him finally buys into the sucker punch that has been Alex's career. Isn't a soldier worth much more though? I for one hope he is boycotted this year, since he obviously has no regard for character or appreciation for the team he had the best chance to win with. I being a Red Sox fan hope beyond all else that ownership keeps loyalty alive with a resigning of the best team player in the game-Mike Lowell, and tells A Rod and his braggart agent to shove it. We won it all without him-we don't need him or want him.

I actually feel bad for the guy. I agree the timing was bad - but he has an mvp year and still got booed by the yankee fans. i don't even think it's about the money - i just don't think he liked it in ny... and he couldnt even play his natural position there.

Now. Alot of the players on the Yankees have had a past filled with Steroids and HGH, which both are highly illegal in Sports. The Red Soxs if they had any players o Steroids or HGH would of been caught between te 5 year period the Yankees were shamed with these drugs. Im a huge Red Soxs fan and if anyone on our roster was on steroids it would of been David Ortiz when he had his break out season i think in 2007. The Yankees are a tainted Franchise, the red soxs are not. Until the day comes where im provin wrong, then what i just said stands as 100% true.

I think he's trying to become bigger than the game itself. He's said he wants to own the HR record. I have more of a problem with him owning this record than Barry Bonds. I can't imagine it has much to do with money, he can't be hurting in that area. He just wasn't comftorable in NY. He needs to go to a team that doesn't care about winning championships, but is worried about putting fans in the stands.

I am not even going to try to respond to your statements except to say that the game of baseball is not only a business for the owners but the players as well. The ability for A-Rod to do what he is doing was built into his contract with the Yankees and he took advantage of it.

Would you play on a team who have fans that boo you even though you are putting up MVP numbers?

I didn't think so!

I agree with everything you said. I know The Tigers dont want or need him either. Hopefully he signs with a left coast team so that no one notices him.
