Looks like a firing to me to get Torre.

uh Frank McCourt expected him back this year but Grady left because of some misunderstanding between him and Ned Colletti. Ned was upset that he couldn't give the young guys on the team more chances to prove themselves and didn't use the veterans in an effective manner...when the dodgers lost 11 out of their last 14, there was big rift between the young guys and the veterans on the team and Ned blames Grady for not handling it properly and that issue led to the dodgers not making the playoffs...they were after all picked to win the NL west by everybody

it won't be big news anyways, Grady was pretty useless here and no one really cares about him (just like Boston did to him)

Bring good ol Joe already!!!

IT doesn't matter whether it was a firing or a resignation...Grady's days as a manger was numbered and his exit eventually has to happen for this team to do well and i'm glad it happened sooner than later

I think it was a resignation in the sense that Little knew he was no longer wanted and that the Dodgers really coveted Joe Torre. I think the Dodgers made a behind the scene money offer to Grady to leave the team and he accepted in the best interests of the Dodgers.

Right, and the dodgers are talking to someone other than Torre. They fired Little to sign Torre and everyone knows it.

I think he saw how shabbily he was being treated, so he saved the Dodger brass further embarrassment and just quit.
I was never a fan of Little, but I don't think Torre will be much of an improvement.

Call it what you want, the Dodgers believe Torre is the best man for the job.

Grady was given the option to leave with his dignity, not everyone can boast this. But it was not his decision.

Who gives a damn? Either way...he's gone. I'm more inclined to believe he resigned then treat everything like a conspiracy.
