1. Hannah - It's a breath of fresh air amongst all the ultra popular names lately. It's been around for years, so it can't be dated to any particular decade. Can envisage a small child called Hannah, but also a Grandmother Hannah.

2. Marissa - It's got a lot of nickname potential, which is something I really look for in a name. People of various nationalities can pronounce it. It's spelt correctly, so that there will be minimal confusion as to how to spell the name.

3. Jacqueline - I love the nickname 'Jacqui'. It's more unusual that Madeline, but still has the elegance associated with it. It is very easy to find a middle name for as well, because it ends in an 'n' sound.

Madelyn

Mackenzie

Try to spell the names as most do because they will be SOOO upset when you go to the store and they see those signs and pen& pencil sets for school with everyones names on them but, theres!
I am 41yrs. and when I was a kid my name was so rare that all the other kids in my family got there own pencils and cute little stationary with there name on them and I had to get either a close sounding name or something else.
Trust me it makes a BIG difference! Now I see my name ALL over!

Madelyn, Valerie, and Katelyn.

Bridget reminds me of a dog's name, and the name Isabelle annoys the crap out of me. Mackenzie has never been a good name, in my opinion. Hannah is nice but with the Hannah Montana craze, it's out. Alexis and Alexa are both okay, but not great. Jocelyn is just annoying and can be misspelled too many ways. Jacqueline is too long and confusing for the poor child that would have to learn how to spell it (they have to spell their full name, not a nickname, in kindergarten). Marissa is nice. Jamie is too boyish. Hope that helps :)

Hannah 1st (i love this name!!)
Alexa 2nd (alexia?)
Tied third place -Katelyn, Jamie and Bridget

but they are all okay except Jocelyn, Valerie and Jacqueline. These just don't seem to fit in with the other names or this 'era' either.

Best of luck
