I will give you hints on how to do it. I hope that this helps you!

1. (5t-2)(5+4t)=3+t-8

You need to first FOIL this: (5t-2)(5+4t)
(5t-2)(5+4t)
5t x 5 + 5t x 4t - 2 x 5 - 2 x 4t
25t + 20t ^2 - 10 - 8t
20t ^2 + 17t - 10

Then solve for t: 20t ^2 + 17t - 10 = t - 5

2. 4y+2=3(6-4y)

For this: 3(6-4y): Multiply the 3 out:
3 x 6 + 3 x -4y
18 - 12y

Now you have to solve for y: 4y + 2 = 18 - 12y

3. 9y-8+4y=7y+16

Simplify the problem: 5y - 8 = 7y + 16
Now solve for y.

5t-2(5+4t)=3+t-8
5t-10-8t = 3+t-8
10-3+8 = 8t-5t-t
15 = 2t
t = 15/2 = 7.50

4y+2=3(6-4y)
4y + 2 = 18 -12y
4y + 12y = 18 - 2
16y = 16
y = 16/16 = 1

9y-8+4y=7y+16
9y + 4y - 7y = 16 + 8
6y = 24
y = 24/6 = 4

#1: first use distributive property and multiply 2(5+4t) this will give you 10+8t. So then you have 5t-10+8t=3+t+8 then you combine like terms and you have 13t-10=11+t. then you just do simple algerbra from there (13t-10-t=11. 12t-10=11. 12t=11-10. 12t=1.)
#2. once again distributive property: 3(6-4y). which equals 18-12y. 4y+2=18-2y. (4y+2+2y=18. 6y+2=18. 6y= 18-2. 6y=16.)
#3 Just combine like terms. 9y+4y first. then you have 13y-8=7y + 16. (13y=7y+16+8. 13y=7y+24. 13y-7y=24. 6y=24.)

5t-10-8t=t-5

-3t-10=t-5
-4t=5
-4t/-4=5/-4
t=-5/4

4y+2=18-12y
16y=16
y=1

13y-8=7y+16
6y-8=16
6y=24
y=4

Do your own work, this is easy it just takes time, multiply out, combine like terms!
