I was never a Goulet fan(I'm 53), but my mother was. He was the only man I ever saw her just practically swoon over and my Mama was never one to give into that sort of thing:-) She never owned any of his records, but never missed a TV show that he was appearing on. Mama died about 14 years ago. She would be 87, had she lived. Now he can serenade her in Heaven.

I saw him play the art of the French planter in a production of "South Pacific" here in Las Vegas. We had run into each other before at several musical functions in town over the years. After his performance that night, he came to the lobby and spotted me. I responded by breaking into the "C'est Moi" number from Camelot and he got a kick out of it. I'm waiting for an announcement on his services, so I can attend. I just wonder if they will order the flags to half staff in Lawrence, Massachusetts where he was born.

I was sorry to hear about his illness and passing. Years ago a friend and I saw him perform at the Carousel Theatre in So. Calif. She called me and asked "How long will it take you to get ready to see Robert Goulet?". I said ten minutes. Within the hour we were at the theater and heard him sing pieces from "Camelot" and many of his other famous songs. He was a class act in all ways.

My dear Mother was a huge fan. She used to play the Camelot soundtrack album often.
Mom passed 5 years ago. Maybe she'll finally be able to meet Mr. Goulet. For her, heaven would be hanging out up there with Goulet and Pavarotti...
peace

I just heard about that on the news tonight. Wasn't he recently on Dancing with the Stars? What a wonderful Las Vegas performer.

Really? When did this happen? This has been a month
for losing the good ones. That's too bad. I remember him
well in "Camelot", which I saw years ago in New York.
It was wonderful.
