I sorta-kinda like Richardson. But I don't feel he has what it takes to make it to the end - as the lead name on the ticket. But I think he & Obama are both going to be vying for the number 2 seat.

Absolutely. He's always been relatively close to the Clintons.
But I think there could be one problem. Kerry's campaign considered him for a running mate in 2004, but I read an excerpt of Bob Shrum's book, one of the people who Kerry's campaign, that there were some rumors that he had an affair, and I guess the rumors were serious enough that he was taken out of consideration pretty quickly because they didn't want to risk having to deal with that if it ever came out.
Still he could be a good choice, he could have appeal with Hispanics, which could help in the West, where Democrats are gaining, and Florida, pretty much ensure New Mexico, which is about five electoral votes.

He's in the running for VP regardless of who is nominated.
I've been consistently disappointed by him in his campaign. I wanted to like him, but he's just failed to impress me time and time again. Same tonight.

That'd be a good reason. A bigger disaster for America, of course - now you can't even assassinate her and have someone less offensive take her place.
