So much for the slow start- a 4 point night vaults him up to 4th in scoring with games in hand on the top 3. Hearing footsteps Zetterberg? Crosby is just getting started.

Erica-LMAO-good comeback indeed.

13 points in 10 games WAS a slow start. No best answer for him. Crosby is better than slightly above a point a game.

The timing made sense---1st game of the roadtrip, and in a place that has some significance to Sid (VS felt they had to remind their viewers that Sid went to Shattuck-St. Mary's like 10 times) and with the Pens losing their last two, there was no way he wasn't going to play any way but great.

I expect it out of Crosby, but how 'bout RYAN MALONE flying out there??? I just can't handle this. His skating was once described as someone trying to skate through mashed potatoes.

It has to be steroids or something. LOL.

Is it a coincidence that Crosby scored 4 points when they got that bum Recchi off of the first line and put some talent in Malkin up there with him? I think not. Last night was the first time in I think 15 games that Crosby was a plus. That is a good sign. He is the only player in the top 10 in scoring that is a minus right now (-2). When he has some talent with him he will excel, but if they put Recchi or Armstrong on his line instead, then he will continue to struggle and not put up the same kind of numbers as last year.

Well, he's on pace to be 9 points better than last year, and the few games I've seen him in, he looks very confident. All those critics who felt that he was too young to handle being a captain and a scorer are slowly being proven wrong.

Yzerman, Hawerchuk, and Bourque all handled being young captains extremely well, and I don't see that Crosby is any less mature than any of them. Having another 21 yr old captain as your owner and landlord helps Crosby out immensely.

Similar thing happened in Los Angeles when Marcel Dionne let the young Jimmy Carson and Luc Robitaille live with him. Luc has always been one to thank Marcel for his wisdom during that period.

Nice comeback!

Malone is a good linemate. However I think Colby Amstrong is a better fit. You get a scrappy rough player to play the line as a force so that Malkin and Crosby dont need to be involved in as much physical activity.

Here come the Pens

I'm not so sure. I know at least one of those points tonight was a bounce off his leg to Malkin that he gets the primary assist on. I guess that is how th bounces go when you are as good as he is. I don't think that Pittsburgh is going to be that good this year. Stall has been awful to this point, Recchi is aging before our eyes, and who really thinks that Sykora is going to be the man. Malkin, much to my chagrin, is a beast and needs to be credited with carrying them to this point. Plus, who really thought Zetterberg would lead in points this year. He needs to concentrate on staying healthy for a full year first. The top five scorers this year will be, in no particular order, Crosby, Thornton, Ovechkin, Heatley, and Lecavalier with and outside chance for Sundin. Of course that is just my opinion.

Zetterberg is coming into his own. Clearly he is more consistent than Datsyuk, so he has become the Wings' go to guy. I for one love his style. He is always in the right place and seems to play smart defensively.
I can say that Crosby's defensive game has improved, and maybe that's why he isn't off to his typically torrid pace.
