I think it's been a century since a sizable quake in that area. Is there any recent news or forecasts of new activity? Is there any relationship to this area and the Yellowstone fault zone?

well unfortunatly for one there is no definate prediction for earthquakes. The Yellowstone Fault Zone is very closley monitored by geologists, seismologist, and volcanologists. we can report what has already happened, and expect aftershocks.

Fortunatly, we are able to build buildings earthquakes resistent and safety has improved, however still there really is no way to predict earthquakes like we can predict the weather.
