Wash any skin that was exposed. If you spilled any on your clothes, the clothes are probably ruined. You can try rubbing baking soda and water on the clothes, but I doubt if it will help

If the battery acid leaked onto electrical equipment, clean it out, then rub the contacts with emery paper, fine sandpaper, or an old nail file. If you don't have any of these, scrape the contacts gently with a small knife until they look clean.

And - gross, i understand, yet examine her poop for a result. you could prod it with an previous spoon or skewer to ascertain for the complicated merchandise : ) If no longer, you could call ahead to close by vets and communicate with them about the problem. i'd attempt this day after today besides. If she needs surgical operation, she'll choose x-rays too, to understand the position to operate. there would nicely be vets who will grant that would want to help you out with a steady or deferred fee plan if she does choose surgical operation. I comprehend that's a subject matter except you're making some plans. it will be well worth sorting out in the journey that they offer less expensive plans to assist your dogs, for the destiny.

Don't panic. It's not a good eyewash, but it's
not too serious a hazard.
Just wipe it up, clean the spill area well with
water, and wash your hands thoroughly afterward.
You're really not supposed to 'landfill` the stuff, but
for just one AA battery, just trash the paper towels
etc. that you use for clean-up.

Replace the battery caps , rinse the battery with baking soda and water or pour a 2 liter coke on it. Don't touch your eyes until you wash your hands really good

D'heads. You are on about an AA (penlight torch) battery. You could eat the amount of acid in it without harm, though I wouldn't advise it. It's not a liquid acid any way, so how can one "spill" it?

Wipe up the spill with paper towels and disgard. As the others have said make a solution of baking soda and water and clean the spot up. If you have latex gloves, use them, if you don't, then be sure to wash your hands throughly to remove any acid that may have gotten on them.

good luck.

Clean it up with a paper towel, then another wet one. It won't kill you or all auto mechanics would be long dead. Use gloves or make sure you skin/eyes doesn't touch it...do it right now before it eats whatever it is on.

Of course, normally an old corroded AA battery has a few more just like it in the same drawer, flashlight, etc. Throw them all out!

They usually don't leak very much, just have some white, rough corrosion.

It's relatively harmless. Is it acid or is it just corrosion from a dead one?

Put some latex gloves on, grab some baking soda, make a water-baking soda solution, apply the solution to the area, wipe it up with paper towel or such. Throw it away.
