Would it default to OU? Who got murdered in the game..

Don't want to make this an Auburn/OU debate. I am an OU fan but will admit Auburn was probably better...

Anyway, just curious if USC gets stripped of its title, would it go to OU by default?

That would be some SWEEET justice, considering that OU turned in their own players, and kicked them off the team for getting a few grand 'extra'. And the NCAA took away all the wins for OU for a year! This was nothing compared to Reggie Bush's 300 grand in 'alleged' benefits.

Just thought of something...The NCAA should have no control over the BCS title as they are not affiliated...so how come sports writers are saying there is a possibility for USC to lose the title? Is there a possibility? Would it be up to the BCS committe to recognise the NCAA's sanctions..etc...

The only reason I would want it to happen is because of how the NCAA would feel about having to give it to OU.
They would HATE that...

I don't want it so we can say we were the champs that year, we all know we were not, probably not even second best.

I just want some justice after the way we were treated by the NCAA for doing the right thing! period.

Yeah, as an OU fan, I don't want sloppy seconds. We lost that game. I would rather have our wins back.

Yeah, I think it's unfair that we get the full force when we reveal our own faults. It's not like we tried to cover it up. The only reason I'm cautious is because USC hasn't been convicted yet. But I do believe that its a matter of time. OU is being punished for Rhett Bomar's mistakes and others. Why shouldn't USC be for Reggie Bush's?

Notice how Austin N isn't going to respond to this question because he knows what's going to happen. BCS will cooperate with the NCAA and decide on what to do. Although it was an ugly game for OU they were the second best team at the time. Sorry Auburn fans but that's why they are doing the and 1 game. The Heisman should be taken away and USC give up all their games that year. What do you think it will do to their recruiting if this goes down?

I am a huge OU fan but I wouldn't want that to happen because we played so horrible that game we don't deserve it if that happens. If USC loses their title then hopefully they won't give it to anyone. However I don't think they are going to punish the whole school of USC just for Reggie Bush's stupid mistakes.

You are right on the second part the NCAA can not take away the BCS title as they were not the ones to hand it out.

they wont get stripped. Look at the New England Patsies, they were caught cheating, did they even have to forfeit a regular season game? no....only time anything ever changes is if an Olympic Athlete gets caught doing roids.
