I'm 22... getting my tubes tied isnt an option. And I've asked about IUD's and they say they wont do it since I'm not in a long term relationship

I have had my tubes tied, and wouldn't necessarily recommend anything I was on before as the all had different effects that I was not always pleased with. My daughter was on the patch and did well with that until they recommend she not use it anymore, she switched to the Nuva Ring and says it is the greatest thing ever. I know several people who have IUDs and are very happy with them. I don't know why your doctor will not give you one as I have never heard of anyone being turned down. Maybe you should check about one someplace else.

I"m on Loestrin Fe24. It's really nice. My first or second month I bled for a while, but that's normal when you start any new type. I haven't gained any weight, but I get moody sometimes... I think that might just be a girl thing :)

Or in my boyfriend's case, an everyday thing. :)
hah

I got my tubes tied. That has been the best source of birth control I have ever gotten. No side effects, don't have to worry about missing a pill or getting pregnant. The best decision I ever made.

Glad to hear you are getting off of depo (former depo user here).

I went to Kariva (pill) and have been on it for almost two years with NO side affects.
