Her sister used her the way my "friend" used me so I thought she would understand. She told me not to be negative & wouldn't even listen to me! Her sister & my ex-friend were friends.
My so-called "friend" stayed with us for 6 months, no expenses, I bought not only her needs, but her wants, cigarettes, vodka, etc.

Yes, and it sucks. My niece and her father I invited into my apartment I had at the time. They had no place else to go, and I didn't want to see them homeless. They re payed me by not paying rent, trashing the place and getting me thrown in an alcohol rehab for drinking on probation. They stayed in the apartment free a few months while I was forced out by my probation officer.
Understand that most people are ungrateful when it comes down to it. Many people never grow up, and refuse to accept any responsibility for their lives. Help those in need, but only help those willing to help themselves. And watch your back on everyone.

I've always told myself deep inside my heart about the meaning of a "true friend":
1. That person will go out of his/her way to do something for you.
2. They will never ask for money from you in a very short period of time you know them i.e. atleast 3-6 months.
3. They always call you up and ask how you're doing.
4. They ask you out and join them for an evening.
Now those are points that I consider the meaning of a "true friend".

yeaa. i had a friend like, but i'm14, so i dind't pay for her expenses, but she abused my trust. I helped her when she was in need the most, but when i need help she ignored me and threw me away. she told me that i was trash and i don't belong. i thought of her as my best friend, but she used me...as a joke, just to her entertainment. i don't know who she is anymore...it's as if my best friend is a stranger now. i don't know how these people can hav the courage to hurt others lyk this.

friends can be shady... most people are selfish or do things to benefit themselves. if you give give give without receiving anything, people will take advantage. it does NOT make them bad people, they learn it out of habit and are probably immature. if they are used to people kissing their *** or are an only child, they will be even more spoiled. question their motives, but try to see their side of the story... don't be a welcome mat though, unless they treat you equally!

well maybe this person wasnt your friend i totally agree with you... dont let her wealk alll over you tell her no ...you might lose a friend but you will gain a lot of confidence in yourself in the long run
