How good an artist are you? If you're just a beginner, you might try flowers, fruit or something else that's still life. I don't think I'd attempt a portrait, unless you're very artistic. Girls always like flowers, so you could either do a bouquet or just a single rose or lily in a pretty vase. If she's not really into flowery stuff, maybe do some "modern art", which can be as simple as geometric figures, lines, circles, blocks, etc. In two days, you really won't be able to spend a great deal of time that it would take to do something like a landscape, so you'd have to stick to something fairly simple. I still like the idea of the single flower in a vase that's sitting on a table, with maybe a petal or two that has dropped on the table, with maybe a curious cat looking on. That gives me another idea -- how about something cartoonish -- a cartoon-like cat or stick figures? You can be very creative there, without having to strive for perfection or detail, and in fact, you can even add a touch of humor to such simplicity. I'd give you some examples if I knew how to draw:) Anyway, good luck!!!

Well, you and you alone know what you are good at drawing. We don't know what you draw or how you draw. If she has seen something then she must have liked what she saw. I would take my lead from that. Where has she seen your work? Do something nice that relates to that but maybe more of a girl's taste???? I know this isn't exact but you are asking for the impossible. Get an idea of a subject and draw the way you always do....good luck.

Light from the Heart Nebula

That is something both real and abstract-looking, should be easy to paint an approximation of, and it will be a nice metaphor. You could do a completely black background to represent space, let it dry and then paint the nebula on top.

Explanation: What powers the Heart Nebula? The large emission nebula dubbed IC 1805 looks, in whole, like a human heart. The nebula glows brightly in red light emitted by its most prominent element: hydrogen. The red glow and the larger shape are all created by a small group of stars near the nebula's center. A close up spanning about 30 light years contains many of these stars is shown above . This open cluster of stars contains a few bright stars nearly 50 times the mass of our Sun, many dim stars only a fraction of the mass of our Sun, and an absent microquasar that was expelled millions of years ago. The Heart Nebula is located about 7,500 light years away toward the constellation of Cassiopeia.

Well if its paint lol... its going to take a hell of a while. Try making a landscape, its not too hard but not too easy. In that landscape but something off a magazine or what not, maybe something like a sunset. Painting is not my forte, I love conte and charcoal + pencil ( Ebony ) - Those are things you can control more easier.

Hi,
What an interesting problem.

If she asked you to draw something, then she might want the subject to be one of YOUR interests. What are you into? Soccer, hip-hop, goth?

If you want to draw something to please her, then make the subject one of HER interests. Ballet, ecology, student government, handbags.

Choose something specific. Remember back in grade 5 when your teacher assigned a report and you wanted to write about "Dogs" ? The topic "Dogs" is too broad. Narrow your topic. For example, "Dog Grooming Techniques for the Toy Poodle." Focus. Focus on the details.

I'll check back later.

Girls love somkething that come from the heart something that is clear and pure.... Nature can convey your message to her... if she love animals just draw her cute puppies or kitty with innnocent eyes and if she loves nature draw her some fresh roses in and basket in such a way that she can see your love in it... Everything that you will work hard on.... will be the work from your heart... its not confusing at all... just start right now.... draw two kitty in a basket with a few or one rose... and with a green(forest/grass) background.... good luck my dear.... I bet she will love it coz am an expert in Art in Mauritius.....

How about a table top of some sort..dressing table perhaps..with a fallen perfume bottle spilling a pool of liquid around the base of a small glass vase holding just a couple of wilting flowers? Sort of enigmatic and profound without committing you to any particular meaning.

draw something abstract, but cool....like a piece she could hang up and be a focal point of her room or above her bed. Maybe use only her favorite colors. Or think of a memory you share and draw something abstract from it so its not so obvious to anyone else but you two both get it.
