I am looking for a Beatles song With Bagpipes. Not a song by the member of the Beatles but the Beatles themselves.I have a friend whose father in law is very ill and wants the song for his memorial service. He believes it to be the Beatles (I think it is Mcartney and Wings but it is his memorial so i'll try :) ) Thanks for helping.

"Fonzie T., that was actually Rolling Stone member Brian Jones playing oboe on "Baby You're a Rich Man"."

Uh, no. The instrument was a clavioline (a precursor to the synthesizer), and it was played by John Lennon on the track. Brian Jones wasn't even present for the recording; Mick Jagger was.

As for the question at hand, I think those who have said "Mull of Kintyre" are correct. It's the only popular song by a Beatles member I can think of that has a bagpipe sound to it, even though it's not Beatles.

I'm pretty sure the song your looking for is "Mull of Kintyre"

Read the following text.

"Mull of Kintyre" is a popular 1977 song by former Beatle Paul McCartney and his band Wings. The song was penned by McCartney and bandmate Denny Laine in tribute to the picturesque Mull of Kintyre peninsula in Argyll, Scotland, where McCartney had owned a home and recording studio since the late 1960s.

The lyrics are an ode to the area's natural beauty and sense of home:

Mull of Kintyre
Oh mist rolling in from the sea,
My desire is always to be here
Oh Mull of Kintyre
McCartney explained how the song came into being:

“ "I certainly loved Scotland enough, so I came up with a song about where we were living; an area called Mull of Kintyre. It was a love song really, about how I enjoyed being there and imagining I was travelling away and wanting to get back there."

The song was recorded in August 1977 as part of the sessions for what would become the London Town album. Bagpipes from Kintyre's local Campbeltown Pipe Band were a prominent part of the recording. The advancement of Linda McCartney's pregnancy brought a halt to the overall sessions, and "Mull of Kintyre", backed with Double A-side "Girls School", was released as a single on 11 November 1977 independently of any album.

Fonzie T., that was actually Rolling Stone member Brian Jones playing oboe on "Baby You're a Rich Man". As for an actual Beatles song, "Revolution #9" has snippets on it that could be bagpipes and I'm not sure but "All You Need Is Love" has something that sounds like them during the fade as well as "It's All Too Much".

Is there anything else you can think of about the song? If you can give any more specifics I might be of more help. Sorry.
