my girlfriend was on paxil for a few years which messed up her menstrual cycle. She got off it about seven months ago but still hasnt got her period. what could be wrong? could she have damaged something that can stop her from having babies in the future? what happens to all the blood? does it just collect inside?

It should not mess up her cycle. In fact it is prescribed for premenstrual dysphoric disorder. Changing the menstrual cycle is not a side effect of paxil. The paxil did not damage anything. If she is not having a period than the lining of uterus is not being shed so there is no blood to collect anywhere because its not happening. She needs to see a gynecologist or general practitioner and tell them about what is going on so they can correct it.

Fertility problems are not part of the side affects of Paxil.

She should a gyno to determine what is wrong. She's not cycling so she probably is not collecting blood in her uterus.
