Personal opinion: the Dems want to show they are an inclusionary party and embrace all.

The GOP can do this, but get nervous when the Log Cabin republicans show up

The site below has a good quote from Jesse Jackson about the African Americans not melting - and some good stuff about Sharpton, too.

It's all fake, all show. That's what our government is all about.

these people have not melted, they are running on being a women, being black and being a trial lawyer. Black republicans are abused like no black Dem would ever be, there are some wonderful black republicans who I would vote for in a second but like Powell wife said " she would fear for her husbands life" being killed by a liberal for forgetting he was black. Steel and JC that would be a dream ticket.

They are carefully staged to look that way. Why? To gain support from key constituencies. GOP debates are almost lily white for the exact same reason.

i wish i was as ignorant as you are......no offense meant.......
it is so easy to be rooting for the BIG....MONEY....pinheaded geeks that are running this country right now..........
but after i'm long gone,,and people see what "parties" (as in political) do to them, maybe,,just maybe, they will start to think for themselves......
and when they do,if they do,we (the USA)will become what we once were.
of the people,by the people, for the people....
i'm sick of politics at this point and hope no one wins the election......
some people are so blinded by politics they can't see the forest for the trees.......it makes me want to move to largo.......
