My answer, hell no. What's yours? Should we really allow someone with no SS#, no Background info, no legal doc, with little or no effort to try and learn the language. I'm 3rd gen P.R. and my grandparents did everything by the book to become citizens and where they are today. It was hell, but they worked hard and did it the 'right way'.

I presume you mean "drivers" license. No, I don't think they should. Maybe learning the language should be priority instead! Just like your grandparents did, by working hard, and not expecting a handout - that's the right way!

We are a nation of laws. Why anyone want to make it easier and award driver's licenses to illegal aliens? What example would that show to law-abiding people? It would also make it easier for terrorists to get identification and roam our country. We have a problem already, so why make it worse? The idea of giving illegal aliens driver's licenses is a psychologically flawed liberal mentality.

A drivers license is Official recognition of LEGAL status. Knowingly issuing a drivers license to an illegal alien is aiding and abetting a CRIMINAL act. I would argue it amounts to treason, but that may be a bit extreme.

First off, watch your spelling. You make a more compelling statement with proper spelling, especially in your title. Second, by PR I would assume that is Puerto Rico? If so, your grandparents were American citizens as people born in Puerto Rico are automatically American citizens by birth. Overall, I agree with your sentiment.

No driving is a privilege not a right. Plus it is illogical to assume that just because we give them a license they will automatically go out and get insurance. They should not be rewarded for being criminals.
